"Mugarri"
Mugarri, by Jokai Produkzioak, blends theatre and traditional music to tell two stories set in one place: the Ibardin border. María, a shepherdess living in a hut high on the mountain, recalls the years of the Civil War, the post-war period and the Second World War. Her daughter Kontxi, who turns the hut into an inn, faces today's border issues, such as migration and the political decisions shaping local daily life. Directed and written by Jabier Leoz Aristu, this cross-border project centres on the txalaparta, joined by violin, cello, guitar and voices. It takes place at Leitzako Herri Aretoa in Leitza on 13 December 2026 at 19:00. Tickets: €8.
