Zinemateka Azkuna Zentroa "Filmmakers of the Transition": "¿QUÉ HE HECHO YO PARA MERECER ESTO? (1984)"

Azkuna Zentroa's Zinemateka screens ¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto? (1984) as part of the series "Filmmakers of the Transition. Stories of a country in transformation" (1976–1984). The film follows Gloria, an unhappily married housewife hooked on amphetamines, who juggles life at home in a working-class neighbourhood, shared with her taxi-driver husband, her children and her mother-in-law, with a job cleaning other people's houses. Fun fact: it marked the screen debut of Francisca Caballero, Pedro Almodóvar's mother, as an extra in her son's films. Screenings at Golem Alhóndiga, Bilbao, on Monday at 19:30 and Thursday at 17:00.
