Zinemateka Azkuna Zentroa "Filmmakers of the Transition": "FUNCIÓN DE NOCHE (1981)"

A screening of Función de noche (1981), part of the Azkuna Zentroa Zinemateka series on filmmakers of the Spanish Transition (1976–1984). The film follows actress Lola Herrera, who performs Miguel Delibes's monologue Cinco horas con Mario every night and begins to blur her life with that of her character, Carmen Sotillo. Shut in her dressing room, she and Daniel Dicenta, separated after years of marriage, look back on their life together in an unscripted conversation filmed in one take with cameras hidden behind mirrors. Screenings at Golem Alhóndiga, Bilbao, on Monday at 17:00 and Thursday at 19:30. Tickets: €5.
