"Zanbuila"

Zanbuila is a stage play by the collective Lolak kolektiboa that brings forward women whose faces and voices usually go unseen and unheard, placing sisterhood at its core and spanning different generations. It follows Itziar, a 39-year-old nurse in an existential crisis, whose encounter through work with an older woman and her daughter leads her to rethink her life. The piece grew out of interviews with women from the coast. Performed by Irene Hernando, Amaia Ruiz de Galarreta and Esti Curiel, with artistic support from Dejabu konpainia and outside eye Iraia Elias.
