19th School Cross-Country Race
Madrid's Vallehermoso Stadium hosts the 19th School Cross-Country Race, a sports day for schools in the Chamberí district, running from 10:00 to 13:30. Pupils will compete in races with distances suited to each age category, cheered on by classmates and teachers. The focus is on taking part and enjoying the day rather than winning, and every runner will receive a medal. Participation is free and is arranged through the district's schools.
