Warren Sonbert. Short Film Session I
Cineteca Madrid presents a session of three short films by Warren Sonbert. Where Did Our Love Go? (1966) captures life around Warhol's Factory; A Woman's Touch (1983) draws on Hitchcock's Marnie to explore the tension between male dominance and female independence, interwoven with abstract imagery; and Short Fuse (1992), made after his AIDS diagnosis, is a turbulent collage of war, protest and rest set to classical and popular music. The session is introduced by series curators Francisco Algarín and Carlos Saldaña. Paid admission.
