Musical tour of the Pedralbes monastery
To mark the 700th anniversary of its founding, the Pedralbes Monastery hosts a tour accompanied by the Cor de Cambra de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, conducted by Poire Vallvé. Music was central to the Poor Clares community, where singing ability even determined a sister's rank, and here it sets the soundscape for a visit presenting the monastery as a women's space of daily life, a centre of power and a link between the earthly and the divine through the cloister's nature.
