Gathering of Elisenda Giantesses
The first gathering of neighbourhood giant groups in the square of the Museu Monestir de Pedralbes, Barcelona, honouring Queen Elisenda de Montcada, who founded the monastery in 1326. Organised by Fal·lera Cortsenca and Barcelona City Council, it coincides with an open day. From 10 am to 1 pm there will be children's workshops, storytelling, the display of giants at the Pedralbes cross, a historic dance by the Elisenda de les Corts at noon and a closing parade with giants from les Corts, del Pi, Sant Quintí de Mediona, Montcada i Reixac and Puigcerdà. A free family event, part of the Monestir de Pedralbes Year.
