Theatre: `Tartufo´
The Santa Petronila Sociocultural Centre in Villaverde, Madrid, stages Tartufo, Molière's comedy about hypocrisy and false piety. Orgon, a wealthy and honest bourgeois, takes in Tartufo, a supposed devout man whom he makes his spiritual director, sparking upheaval within the family. Banned after its scandalous premiere, the play portrays those who enjoy impunity through power, lies and appearances. The performance takes place on 30 October 2026 at 7 pm, lasts about 90 minutes and is suitable for all audiences. Admission is free, with up to two invitations per person, to be collected in person at the centre's reception from 26 October.
