Theatre: 'Pisando el Llano' by La Chana Teatro.
To mark Library Day, the company La Chana Teatro stages Pisando el Llano in the auditorium of the Biblioteca Pública de Palencia, a piece based on Juan Rulfo's El Llano en llamas. In a bare monologue combining object theatre and visual language, Jaime Santos brings to life three stories from the Llano about orphanhood, desolation, hardship and the poetry of the desert. The performance takes place on Friday 23 October at 7:00 pm. Admission is free until the venue is full.
