Silver

Cineteca Madrid hosts the Spanish premiere of Silver, a documentary about life in Cerro Rico, nearly 5,000 metres above sea level, where a mine both sustains and endangers the community. Told through the eyes of Juvi, a twelve-year-old boy, the film explores extreme labour, spirituality and an extractive legacy passed down through generations. With an observational approach and striking cinematography, it questions the human cost of measuring wealth by what can be taken from the earth. Screening on 22 October 2026 at 19:30. Paid admission.
