"Stitches and Resistance"

The third session of Puntadas y resistencia at Librería ANTI in Bilbao, a series linking handcraft, reflection and the plant world. This time the conversation draws on El guillomo by Robin Wall Kimmerer, an Indigenous biologist, writer and thinker, exploring wild plants, foraging, reciprocity and interdependence, and edible shrubs as small multispecies communities. While talking, participants will embroider branches, leaves and fruits using botanical embroidery and free stitching techniques. Open to all levels, whether or not you have needle experience.
