European Heritage Days 2026 programme in Álava

Throughout October, Álava hosts the European Heritage Days under the motto "Gure eskuetan / El patrimonio en nuestras manos", alongside Gipuzkoa, Bizkaia and the Basque Government. Spread across the whole province and aimed at varied audiences, the programme features guided and theatrical tours, talks, workshops, archaeological film screenings at the Museo Bibat and an exhibition on Roma women. There are routes through Nafarrate, Zaramaga and Portilla-Zabalate, activities on traditional crafts, archives and archaeology, and accessible museum tours. Events run from 30 September to 1 November and are free, though some require booking due to limited capacity.
