Production and celebration: the Crypt and the Colònia Güell, in opposition — Talk by Juan José Lahuerta
Juan José Lahuerta gives a talk on the Colònia Güell, whose layout combines three areas: industrial, residential and religious, the latter being the church of which only the crypt, designed by Gaudí, was built. The talk explores how the celebratory role of the church and the productive role of the factories and housing are set against each other rather than forming an organic whole. It is part of the Gaudí Year commemoration. It takes place on 11 October 2026 at 5 pm at the Cripta de la Colònia Güell in Santa Coloma de Cervelló. Free admission.
