Presentation of the book "La piel hembra" by Elaine Vilar Madruga
Librería Naubis in Bilbao hosts the presentation of La piel hembra, a novel by Cuban writer Elaine Vilar Madruga, a novelist, poet and playwright born in Havana in 1989. The author will be in conversation with curator and researcher María Ptqk, curator of Getxophoto. The novel tells how the women of a mountain village leave their homes one night and return pregnant, each convinced she is the mother of the new messiah, in a story between the fantastic and the unsettling about power, identity, memory and faith. The event takes place on 19 October 2026, from 18:00 to 19:30, and admission is free.
