Book presentation: El Imperio en la tormenta
On Thursday 15 October at 6:30 pm, the Museo de Historia de Madrid hosts the presentation of El Imperio en la tormenta, a historical novel by José Calvo Poyato published by Harper Collins. The historian, author of books such as La Ruta Infinita and Dueños del Mundo, tells in thriller style the story of the English Counter-Armada of 1589, one of England's greatest military failures, kept quiet for centuries. Its cast includes Philip II, Elizabeth I, Francis Drake, Lope de Vega and María Pita. Admission is free until capacity is reached; copies will be on sale at the museum bookshop and the author will sign them.
