Book presentation: "Wolfram, el camino negro"
Museo San Telmo in San Sebastián hosts the presentation of "Wolfram, el camino negro" on 20 October 2026 at 19:00, with contemporary history professor Joan Maria Thomàs and education scholar Rosa Arburua Goienetxe. The book traces the route of tungsten, first isolated in 1783 by the Elhuyar brothers in Bergara, from mines in Galicia, León, Salamanca and Extremadura to Nazi Germany during the Second World War, crossing the border with France through the Basque Country, Navarre and Aragon, legally or by smuggling. Free admission; the talk will also be streamed online.
