Fernando Moreno presents his book "La camarera del Embassy" on 14 October 2026 at 19:00 in the Orisol room of the Casa de Cultura Ignacio Aldecoa, Vitoria-Gasteiz. The novel portrays Spain's early post-war years through Celia, a young hairdresser from Cáceres who moves to Madrid in the early 1940s seeking a career and becomes involved in the network the British embassy set up around the Embassy tearoom to help refugees fleeing Nazi terror get out of Spain. Organised by El Nimbo. Free admission until full capacity.
