Presentation of 'Cosamala', by Alana S. Portero

Matadero Madrid hosts the presentation of Cosamala, the new novel by Alana S. Portero, author of La mala costumbre, published by Seix Barral. Set in the northern hills of Seville in 1937 as the Carranza column advances, it follows a group of women, relatives of fugitives and the persecuted, who form a coven as an act of resistance. Based on a real Civil War crime, it blends horror, folklore and oral legend into a gothic, anti-fascist story. Aimed at readers interested in literature and historical memory.
