Paula Comitre
Centro Danza Matadero hosts the world premiere of Bien vale un imperio, Paula Comitre's new show and the second part of her Trilogía de la Edad de Plata Femenina. Following Après vous, Madame, devoted to La Argentina, the piece draws on Pastora Imperio to bring early twentieth-century flamenco into a contemporary language. Three guitars, classical, flamenco and experimental, shape the soundscape, while visual artists Fuentesal Arenillas create a costume-set that reinvents the hat, the bata de cola and the shawl. Performances on 6 and 7 November 2026 at 8 pm in Madrid. Tickets from 18 euros.
