"Operetta"
Catalan company Cor de Teatre brings Operetta to Teatro Barakaldo, a show blending polyphonic vocal music with physical theatre. Characters from the theatre world emerge from a piano left on an abandoned stage and act out humorous sketches set to famous opera arias, overtures and choruses, including pieces from La Traviata, The Barber of Seville and Nabucco. There is no orchestra: the singers handle both the solos and the harmonies. Written and directed by Jordi Purtí, with musical direction by David Costa. The performance starts at 18:00 and tickets cost €15.
