"Operetta"
Operetta, by the Catalan company Cor de Teatre, blends polyphonic vocal music and physical theatre in a series of sketches. A piano unloaded onto an abandoned stage releases characters from the theatre world, who act out comic situations to famous opera arias, overtures and choruses, including pieces from La Traviata, The Barber of Seville and Nabucco. There is no orchestra: the voices provide both solos and harmony. Written and directed by Jordi Purtí, with musical direction by David Costa. On 2 January 2027 at 18:00 at the Centro de Artes Avenida de Cintruénigo. Tickets: €12.
