'Opera for children Hansel y Grettel' (FERRO TEATRO)
Ferro Teatro presents a children's version of Engelbert Humperdinck's opera based on the Brothers Grimm tale. The finest excerpts of the score are sung live in Spanish, mixed with spoken scenes, comedy and audience participation. In this retelling, a poor but close-knit family faces hard times, and a broken little jug sends Hänsel and Grettel into the Everglow forest, where they face Urraca, a witch obsessed with shiny things, helped by Max and Valery. A 70-minute musical theatre show on 11 October 2026 at 18:00 at the Teatro Auditorio Gonzalo Menéndez Pidal in El Espinar. Advance tickets 6 euros; at the box office 8 euros. Part of the Red de Teatros de Castilla y León programme.
