"Ombuaren itzala"
Screening in Irura of the film Ombuaren itzala, directed by Patxi Bisquert, followed by a discussion. The film follows the poet and bertsolari Pello Mari Otaño, who first fled to Argentina to avoid military service, returned ill to Gipuzkoa at 33, married Madalen Alberdi and settled in Donostia, where he stood out in literary competitions. Unable to support his family and hold on to his liberal, republican and pro-fueros convictions, he left for Argentina for the last time with his wife and three children.
