"Maurice Ravel: A Composer With A Basque Soul"
Laura Delgado, Teresa Valente and Itxaso Sainz de la Maza perform at Kultur Leioa in a concert that blends live music with explanation, shedding light on Maurice Ravel's ties to the Basque Country. At its heart is his Piano Trio in A minor, written entirely in Saint-Jean-de-Luz in 1914, whose first movement draws on the rhythm of the zortziko.
