L'elisir d'amore — By Gaetano Donizetti
L'Atlàntida, Centre d'Arts Escèniques d'Osona in Vic stages Donizetti's comic opera, a classic of Italian bel canto. Naive Nemorino trusts a so-called love potion sold by the quack Dulcamara to win the wealthy, clever Adina, sparking mix-ups that reveal sincerity as the true force of love. The score includes the famous aria Una furtiva lagrima. Performed by the Cor Amics de l'Òpera de Sabadell and the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, with musical direction by Daniel Gil de Tejada and stage direction by Pau Monterde. Starts at 6 pm and runs about 2 h 35 min including an interval. Tickets from 10 to 45 €.
