A talk for adult audiences on the historic colonies of Chamartín, garden-city style residential areas that emerged in the early 20th century in the former Chamartín de la Rosa under Spain's Cheap Housing laws. It looks at how this original urban layout helped shape a modern, European-inspired Madrid, and how these colonies survive today as witnesses to the past.
