La Ruta del Arte BBK: "Animalario"
From 19 to 25 October 2026, Etxebarri hosts the seventh edition of La Ruta del Arte BBK, an outdoor touring exhibition that travels from town to town with panels faithfully reproducing 38 works from the museum's collection. Titled Animalario and curated by José Luis Merino Gorospe, it explores the symbolic role of animals in painting, printmaking, posters, photography and the applied arts, featuring artists such as Jacob Jordaens, Ignacio Zuloaga, Rosa Bonheur, Richard Avedon, Guerrilla Girls and Joseph Beuys. Each work comes with commentary in Basque and Spanish, also available free in English via a QR code.
