La Ruta del Arte BBK: "Animalario"
The seventh edition of La Ruta del Arte BBK comes to Sestao from 5 to 11 October 2026 with Animalario, a travelling outdoor exhibition of panels reproducing 38 works from the museum's collection in which animals take centre stage. Curated by José Luis Merino Gorospe, it brings together painting, printmaking, posters, photography and applied arts by artists such as Paul de Vos, Jacob Jordaens, Ignacio Zuloaga, Rosa Bonheur, Richard Avedon, Guerrilla Girls and Joseph Beuys, exploring the symbolic meaning of animals in art. Commentaries on each work, in Basque, Spanish and English, can be downloaded free via a QR code.
