'La pícara Justina' (FABULARIA TEATRO)
Fabularia Teatro brings a comic stage adaptation of 'La pícara Justina' to the Sala Polivalente de Traspinedo. The novel by Francisco López de Úbeda, published in 1605, is regarded as the first picaresque work with a female protagonist. Now mature, Justina looks back on her life: her absurd ancestors, her wanderings from pilgrimage to pilgrimage to get by, and her adventures with tricked students, gamblers, innkeepers and old witches, before recalling her suitors and lovers. She is a survivor in a society in crisis and in a man's world, in a show full of wordplay, jokes and parody. The 80-minute performance takes place on 28 November 2026 at 19:00 as part of the Circuitos Escénicos de Castilla y León. Tickets cost 3 euros.
