"La Naval. Quarry of titans"
An exhibition at Itsasmuseum Bilbao about the La Naval shipyard in Sestao, a key chapter in Bizkaia's industrial history. Ship models, historical photographs, plans, aerial images and documents trace its development, focusing on the decades from the 1960s until its closure, when it built oil tankers, LNG carriers, dredgers, ferries and cable-laying ships. Above all, it pays tribute to the thousands of workers and trades behind every vessel and to the shipyard's role in daily life in Sestao, Barakaldo and the Left Bank. Open 7 October to 7 November 2026, Tuesday to Sunday 11:00–19:00; closed Mondays, except those before public holidays.
