'La maja robada o El museo de los cuadros vacíos' (VALQUIRIA TEATRO)
A play between comedy and drama about Mercedes and Esperanza, two women devastated by war who pass themselves off as the Marquesa de Arnuossa and her maid Sophie to steal paintings by Goya or El Greco from the Prado and sell them on the black market. It is inspired by the true story of María Teresa Álvarez Herreros de Tejada, who took nearly 400 items under a false title. On 11 December 2026 at 8:30 pm at the Teatro Principal in Zamora; tickets 12, 10, 8 and 6 euros.
