'La maja robada o El museo de los cuadros vacíos' (VALQUIRIA TEATRO)
Valquiria Teatro presents this tragicomic play by Jesús Torres, performed by Alba Frechilla and María Negro. Mercedes and Esperanza, two women devastated by war, pose as the Marchioness of Arnuossa and her maid Sophie to steal works by Goya and El Greco from the Prado Museum and sell them on the black market. It is inspired by the real case of María Teresa Álvarez Herreros de Tejada in the post-war years. Directed by Carlos Martínez-Abarca, it runs 80 minutes and is part of Circuitos Escénicos de Castilla y León. On 17 October 2026 at 20:00 at Teatro Centro Cívico, San Miguel del Arroyo. Tickets: 4 euros.
