'La desconquista' (RON LALÁ)
The company Ron Lalá brings La desconquista to the Teatro Principal in Palencia, a comic musical in classical Golden Age verse that parodies the Discovery of the Americas. Five castaways, among them an ambitious young captain, a boastful soldier, a missionary, a veiled lady with a secret and a smallpox-carrying rat, wash up in the Indies and try to turn the audience into loyal subjects of the Empire. With live music, original texts and sharp humour, the show runs 80 minutes. It takes place on 15 October 2026 at 20:30, with tickets at 23 euros. Part of the Red de Teatros de Castilla y León programme.
