Klasikoak 2026: "La amiga"
The Basque Film Archive screens "La amiga" (1988), directed by Jeanine Meerapfel, as part of the Klasikoak 2026 series. This Argentine-German film follows two friends who dreamed of acting: Raquel succeeds and later has to emigrate to Germany, while María, after the military abducts her eldest son in 1976, turns grief into resistance and becomes one of the first Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo. Starring Liv Ullmann, Cipe Lincovsky and Federico Luppi. In Spanish and German with Spanish subtitles, 110 minutes. Screening on 18 November 2026 at 19:00 at Artium Museoa, Vitoria-Gasteiz. Tickets: €3.50.
