Keixpe 2026: Les Cuisinières
Jazz band Les Cuisinières plays Zumarraga on Sunday 25 October at 12:00, as part of Keixpe, the autumn music series run by the cultural association Kalegorrian, with one concert a month across Zumarraga and Urretxu. Formed during the pandemic by musicians from three generations, the band blends traditional jazz, zydeco, Bayou rhythm and blues and Mardi Gras songs, evoking New Orleans. Trumpeter Ion Celestino is joined by Felix Elizalde, Juana Etxauri, Xabier Celestino, Xanti Etxeberria and Ezekiel Celestino. This year they released the vinyl Stomp Fever Stomp. In good weather the concert takes place in Zelai Arizti park; otherwise at Zelai Arizti Aretoa, with audience and musicians together on stage. Free admission.
