"Kandida"

A stage play written and directed by Patxo Telleria, starring Miren Gaztañaga, Nerea Mazo and Mikel Martinez. On the night Clara launches her novel, Manuela, the evicted elderly woman who inspired her protagonist, knocks on her door and asks to be taken in, just as the character is in the book. Pressured by her publisher, who marketed the novel as autofiction, Clara reluctantly agrees: if the public learns she did the opposite in real life, both the investment and her reputation as a writer are at stake. Performed on 13 November 2026 at Kultur Leioa in Leioa.
