"Johannes-Passion"
Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao revives its staged production of Johann Sebastian Bach's Johannes-Passion BWV 245, directed by Calixto Bieito. First performed in 2018 as a co-production with the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, this staged oratorio was warmly received by critics and audiences in both cities. Konrad Junghänel conducts the Freiburger Barockorchester and the Coro de Ópera de Bilbao. The cast includes Joshua Ellicott as the Evangelist, Hera Hyesang Park, Carlos Mena, Anthony Gregory, Cody Quattlebaum and Sreten Manojlovic as Jesus. Performances on Friday 2 April 2027 at 19:30 and Saturday 3 April at 19:00. Tickets from 30 to 64 €.
