Hika in schools: training sessions for primary and secondary teachers
The ZirHika group, together with UEU, is running a course in Eibar for teachers who want to promote hika, the informal register of the Basque language, in schools. It consists of two theory-and-practice sessions on Saturday 17 and Saturday 24 October, from 9:00 to 14:00. Led by Ritxi Lizartza, Garbiñe Idoeta, Nerea Zubia, Xabier Eizagirre and Itsaso Aldai, all experienced in teaching hika at school, it offers tools for taking the first steps. The standard Basque form of hitano will be used, which participants can later adapt to their local variety. It may also interest teachers at euskaltegis.
