"Hauspoa & tunela"

Official presentation of Hauspoa & Tunela, a short documentary about the origins of Basque trikitixa. The film traces how a small accordion, brought in 1859 by an Italian worker who came to build the tunnels of the Madrid–Paris railway, travelled from Zumarraga to become a symbol of today's Basque music. It features more than 20 testimonies from figures of Basque culture, including Fermín Muguruza, Bernardo Atxaga, Kepa Junkera and Jon Maia. After the screening, director Gorka Hermosa will play a short concert, followed by a talk. It takes place on 20 November 2026 at 19:30 at Landetxe Kultur Aretoa in Oiartzun, organised by the town council.
