Vitoria-Gasteiz International Theatre Festival 2026: "Deserto"
Part of the Vitoria-Gasteiz International Theatre Festival 2026, Deserto brings Chilean writer Roberto Bolaño to the stage through fragments of his books, interviews and memoirs, including 2666 and El gaucho insufrible. Livera lends body and voice to the author in an intense, humorous and provocative piece that follows his journey from Chile through Mexico to Spain and asks what role poetic creation plays amid today's violence. Performance on 4 November 2026, 19:30 to 21:00, at Félix Petite Antzokia. Tickets: €18. Warning: strobe lights, loud sounds, smoking on stage and depictions of violence against women.
