Festeig i giravolt — By Jofre Bardolet
A show halfway between operetta and musical theatre by young Osona composer Jofre Bardolet, author of the opera Ferides. It portrays moments from the life of musician Eduard Toldrà, above all his romance with Maria Sobrepera, and the cultural boom in Catalonia a century ago, featuring figures such as Conxita Badia, Juli Garreta and Pau Casals. Operetta scenes alternate with Toldrà's songs and readings of his letters, performed by lyric and modern singers in an eclectic style ranging from Beethoven to pop. With Jofre Bardolet, Marina Toronell, Pol Blancafort, Rosa M Abella, Josep Font and the choir Grup dels vuit. At 6 pm, about 1 h 20 min, at the Kursaal in Manresa. Tickets from €6 to €15.
