Exhibition 'Historia de las mujeres a través de la vestimenta' by Yolanda Meneses Martín at the Archivo Histórico Provincial de Ávila
An exhibition tracing the history of women's clothing from the 15th century, with the Renaissance and humanist thought, to the 20th century and the rise of ready-to-wear. It brings together 18 period costumes handmade from recycled materials such as bedspreads, tapestries, curtains and mattress covers. It also recalls women's role as creators of textiles and clothing down the centuries. It can be visited from 6 to 20 October 2026, from 9 am to 2 pm, at the Archivo Histórico Provincial de Ávila, with free admission.
