Euskadiko Orkestra 2026/27: "PROKOFIEV / SCHUMANN"
Euskadiko Orkestra performs at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao on 3 February 2027 at 19:30. The programme contrasts Schumann's romantic reverie with Prokofiev's irony: the overture to Genoveva, Schumann's only opera; Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 1, blending fairy-tale lyricism with sarcasm and rhythmic drive; and Schumann's cyclically structured Symphony No. 4. Japanese violinist Akiko Suwanai is the soloist, with conductor Philipp von Steinaecker, a co-founder of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Tickets go on sale on 1 September.
