Euskadiko Orkestra 2026/27: "MAHLER 6: TRAGIKOA"
The Euskadiko Orkestra performs Gustav Mahler's Sixth Symphony, known as the "Tragic", conducted by Pablo González, former principal conductor of the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya and the RTVE Symphony Orchestra. Although written during a happy time in Mahler's life, it is his darkest work: a relentless march, the lyrical Alma theme, a sarcastic scherzo, a nostalgic andante with cowbells and a vast finale featuring the famous hammer blows. The work lasts about 79 minutes. The concert takes place at the Kursaal in San Sebastián at 19:30, with dates between 22 and 26 April 2027. Tickets go on sale on 1 September.
