Euskadiko Orkestra 2026/27: "AMERIKA"
With AMERIKA, the Euskadiko Orkestra takes audiences on a journey through the sounds of the Americas, where European symphonic tradition meets jazz and dance rhythms. The programme opens with Gershwin's An American in Paris and features works by Daniel Freiberg, Astor Piazzolla, Basque émigré composer Pedro Sanjuán and the soloist himself, Venezuelan trumpeter Pacho Flores, winner of the Maurice André competition. Caracas-born Manuel Hernández-Silva conducts, with Marcel Montcourt on Venezuelan cuatro. Performances run from 15 to 17 March 2027 at 19:30 at the Kursaal in San Sebastián. Tickets go on sale on 1 September.
