"Heat stress. Why doesn't heat suffocate us all equally?"
A talk and discussion by environmental engineer Naia Ormaza Zulueta, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of British Columbia and member of the Better Planet Lab, on heat stress and why it affects people unequally. Using maps and simulations, she will explain how the body responds to high temperatures, what climate models can tell us, and how everyday habits such as diet, shopping and travel relate to global warming. It takes place on 21 October at 19:00 at Bidebarrieta Kulturgunea in Bilbao, in Basque with simultaneous Spanish interpretation, as part of the Bidebarrieta Científica series. Free entry until full, also streamed on YouTube and TikTok.
