School of Salamanca. Lectures
A series of three lectures at the Biblioteca Pública de Salamanca on the School of Salamanca, marking its 1526-2026 anniversary. On Friday 16 October at 7:00 pm, an overview of the School and its contributions to international law, economics, moral philosophy and human rights, featuring figures such as Francisco de Vitoria, Domingo de Soto and Martín de Azpilcueta. Saturday 17 at 7:00 pm focuses on Francisco de Vitoria and two of his major lectures. Sunday 18 at 11:00 am asks whether a war can be just. Speaker: María Martín Gómez, philosophy lecturer at the University of Salamanca. All sessions take place in the library auditorium.
