'El romano' (FABULARIA TEATRO)
Fabularia Teatro stages 'El romano', a comedy by José Luis Alonso de Santos, winner of Spain's National Theatre Prize. A provincial man fascinated by the only book he has ever read, about the Romans, steps in for an absent speaker and gives a talk on the Roman Empire, until he turns into one of its characters. With surreal humour and a surprise ending, the play reflects on obsessions and the struggle to fit into one's surroundings. Performance on 11 October 2026 at 19:00 at the Teatro Municipal in Renedo de Esgueva. Running time: 75 minutes. Tickets: 3 euros. Part of the Circuitos Escénicos de Castilla y León programme.
