"El jardín quemado"
Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao stages El jardín quemado, a play written and directed by Juan Mayorga. During the war, healthy men were committed to the San Miguel psychiatric sanatorium; years later, its director Garay and his disciple Benet confront the question of why. The play explores memory, the difficulty of judging the past, and imagination as an escape from the harsh reality faced by the defeated. Cast: Adriana Ozores, Loreto Mauleón, Jesús Barranco, Mariano Llorente, Miguel Hermoso and José Ramón Iglesias. Produced by La Zona and Teatro de la Abadía. Performances on Friday 9 April 2027 at 19:30 and Saturday 10 April at 19:00. Tickets cost €14 and €26.
